Ironing, Bikes and Games!

Abby ironing her super hero cape and tutu!    Who knew superheroes did housework?

This is a really fun game from Santa -- Sneaky Snacky Squirrel.  You spin the dial, land on a color and  use the squirrel tweezers to put the colored acorns in their proper spot on the tree trunks.

There were some little breaks in the rain the day after Christmas, just enough time to try out new bikes!!  Ellie was a bit timid at first since the handbrakes are a new concept for her on her 'grown up style' bike.

Abby's feet were slipping on her pedals from the rain but she quickly caught on to pedaling and braking with her new bike.

Now, after just a few beautiful, sunny days practicing their new skills, they have really improved and built up confidence and we've started venturing out into the neighborhood.

Abby micro-managed Uncle Jeff all up our street.  She wanted to make sure he paying close attention to her and her new bike skills.  At one point, she said "This bike is NOT listening to me" (it was stuck on a little bump and she couldn't pedal up over it).

Ellie's so brave and confident, heading down Church Street!  Great job, Ellie!!!

Quick rest break in Granna's yard!

Some little girls may have a little tooo much new-found confidence. . . now this little daredevil races down Granna and Papa's sloping backyard, braking just before hitting the trees!!  Oh my!
