Royal Tea Party!!

This week, while watching all the lead-up to the big Royal Wedding, I told  Ellie I was her exact age for Princess Diana's wedding and how much I enjoyed watching it (I still have it on VHS tape!).  So Ellie came up with a fun idea to celebrate the Royal Wedding with a wedding-watching-tea party.  Why, of course!!!  We DVR'd the wedding to watch Friday afternoon.  Abby and I set it all up while Ellie was still at school.  Then, Abby rode through parent pick up in her very lovely princess attire.

White gloves and pearls, of course, and a HUGE ring!

Sipping tea!

After our tea party, we snuggled on the couch to watch the wedding.  It was magical, beautiful and elegant!  And special to watch with my two little princesses!!!

Easter Sunday

The Easter Bunny came!!!  And he left his big bunny-prints through the house!

Ellie & Abby checking out what the Easter Bunny left them -- for Ellie: a chocolate bunny, journals and a fun activity tote; for Abby:  a pink chocolate bunny (she said he was bringing her one! she was right!), an activity purse and several books.

(our fireplace was under construction Easter weekend)

Here are the remains of Bunny's snack the girls left the night before.  Both left him special notes, too.

A new funny Sandra Boynton book!  Abby loves them!

Ellie's new tote filled with notepads, pencils and art supplies.

Ready for church!

Daddy's girls!

After church, our families joined us at home for an Easter lunch of shrimp & grits, salad with Granna's yummy cinnamon dressing, stuffed eggs & banana ricotta cheese cupcakes.  Here are Nana & Foo Foo, Uncle Jeff & Aunt Sarah & the girls.

Granna & Uncle Jeff

(Mommy -- taking photos as usual)

The Easter Bunny left an impressive amount of eggs at Granna & Papa's house.  The girls had a blast hunting for them and had to empty their baskets several times during the hunt.
Tim supervising all the action!

The Paparazzi!!!  Two little girls followed by 4 cameras!
Sweet Aunt Sarah!

Oh Happy Day!!  We are so blessed to be able to spend holidays surrounded by family!

Easter Weekend

We had a lovely Easter weekend. The weather was gorgeous and the weekend was filled with fun activities and precious family memories.  Ellie brought her teachers lavender as a little Easter happy.  It smelled yummy!

Ellie's class painted bunnies the week before Easter.  They were all so colorful -- Ellie and I really enjoyed taking them out of the kiln, each bunny was so unique and creative!

Coloring Easter eggs.  The girls went glam with glitter eggs this year.  Sparkly!!!!
We got ready for Easter Sunday lunch -- Ellie painted bunnies for place settings & carefully wrote each place card herself.

Table all set and ready for family!

We attended the annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Boerners.  It's always one of our favorite Easter weekend events.  The girls visited with all their sweet friends and filled their baskets with goodies!

Palm Sunday

Several weeks ago, Abby made the big move up to the "big girl" Sunday School class.  She is LOVING it!  Now, every Sunday, she makes sure to remind us that we're going to Ms  Monika's room, not the "baby room."  Today, her class learned about Palm Sunday.  Abby made her very first Sunday School craft and she was soooo proud of it.  She called it a "Palm-Palm" and told us how she learned about Jesus.

Toes & Tomatoes

We discovered some fun new polishes & nail-polish-pens the other day so we just had to have a little 'spa night' to try them out.  Ellie is now sporting lime green toes with pink daisies & polka dots.  Abby selected a pretty pink for her little piggies.

We've started a little garden on our deck.  Tim and Abby planted tomatoes, red bell peppers and basil. YUMMY!!!
