Curls!

Ellie asked if I'd curl her hair before church on Sunday (we listened to her favorite Taylor Swift songs while I curled it, in hopes it would inspire her hair to stay curled longer!). It was so pretty in the wispy tendrils! We had to take some photos right away!

Abby wanted to pose, too!

Ellie & her American Girl doll received matching doll dresses from Granna & Papa. Adorable!!

The Easter Bunny was so thoughtful to hide the girls eggs at Granna & Papas!

Abby wanted to open the eggs, examine the contents & close them back up before she'd find another egg.

My sweet silly girl!!

Easter Sunday

Easter Bunny!!!

Coloring Easter eggs for the Easter Bunny!!

Abby kept saying "mouth!" and tried to eat the hardboiled eggs (shell & all!)

The Easter Bunny came!!!! Yippee!!! He even ate part of his carrots & celery leaves!

The Easter Bunny left Ellie new pajamas, a headband, sticky notes, scented soaps, a Bunny Webkinz. . .
and lots of chocolate candy!!!!!

Poor little Abby was still waking up! The Easter Bunny brought her a tutu-swimsuit, snack holders and fun toddler crayons!

Slay Family Easter

Saturday we enjoyed an Easter meal with Tim's parents. We visited, ate and played outside. A fun afternoon! Ellie set the table!

Yummy yum yum!!

Annual Easter Egg Hunt

On Good Friday we attended the Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Sara Rodgers' house. It is always one of our most favorite events of the year!! Rumor has it there were 1500 eggs in the hunt!! And I think it took about 3 minutes for all to be discovered. Very impressive!! This year, Abby was old enough to hunt, too!

Ellie had a fabulous time! She got to see all her sweet friends and enjoyed jumping on the trampoline & eating yummy snacks.

April Fools Prank

So we've never really played April fools jokes, but Ellie & I just couldn't resist pranking Tim on Thursday. Ellie came up with most of the joke herself!! We borrowed our next door neighbor Macey's new bunnies and pretended like I'd bought them for the girls (like we need any more pets -- one cat is all we can handle right now!)!
Ellie was so funny planning the joke, designing a sign for the bunny box, having me call Tim to tell him she had a "surprise" waiting when he got home, and keeping a look out for Tim's arrival. The little rabbits
Ellie's sneaky prankster face. She and Macey named them Sneezy & Dopey.

Check out Tim's 'not-thrilled' face. Ha ha ha ha!! Ellie kept the joke going forever! Tim kept looking at me and saying "What are we going to do with rabbits? We don't have a place for them! We don't know how to take care of them." Ellie would say "Daddy! We'll find a place for them!" She kept a straight face the whole time, even when I was cracking up. Finally she said, "APRIL FOOLS, DADDY!!!!"

The girls (and a settled-down Daddy!) played with the rabbits for a few minutes before we returned them safely to Macey's house where we can visit them and bring them treats every day and love them from afar, which Ellie is perfectly content. APRIL FOOLS!!
