Ellie turns 8!

Ellie turned 8 on June 22!!  So grown up!

She started her morning with a happy smile and gift from Abby!

Abby selected a kangaroo webkinz for Ellie and it was a hit!

Then we headed out for a girls morning -- a trip to the donut shop, a hair cut (and curl!) for both girls, and lunch with Daddy.  After lunch, we met a bunch of Ellie's friends at the movies to see Brave.

Papa and Granna gave Ellie a real, grown-up sewing machine!  Wow!  Ellie can't wait to start sewing lessons with Granna!

When Daddy got home from work, Ellie opened her family gift. . .

. . .A KINDLE FIRE!!  She loves to read and we thought it would be the perfect gift for her! 



Uncle Randy sent an adorable New Orleans story book and whimsical frame!
Her Alabama cousins sent funky desk supplies.
Nana and Foo-foo gave her an Old Navy gift card and
Uncle Jeff and Aunt Sarah gave her a Target gift card -- great ideas -- she loves to shop and can't wait to pick out whatever she wants!

Granna and Papa treated us to a birthday dinner celebration downtown at The Iron Horse.  Ellie ordered a shrimp and honey quesadilla.  Yummy!

Ellie finished up her birthday snuggled up with Abby and her Kindle.    It was a perfect, laid back day, just what the Birthday Girl requested!   Happy Birthday, sweet Ellie!!  We love you so much!
