So we've never really played April fools jokes, but Ellie & I just couldn't resist pranking Tim on Thursday. Ellie came up with most of the joke herself!! We borrowed our next door neighbor Macey's new bunnies and pretended like I'd bought them for the girls (like we need any more pets -- one cat is all we can handle right now!)!
Ellie was so funny planning the joke, designing a sign for the bunny box, having me call Tim to tell him she had a "surprise" waiting when he got home, and keeping a look out for Tim's arrival.

Ellie's sneaky prankster face. She and Macey named them Sneezy & Dopey.
Check out Tim's 'not-thrilled' face. Ha ha ha ha!! Ellie kept the joke going forever! Tim kept looking at me and saying "What are we going to do with rabbits? We don't have a place for them! We don't know how to take care of them." Ellie would say "Daddy! We'll find a place for them!" She kept a straight face the whole time, even when I was cracking up. Finally she said, "APRIL FOOLS, DADDY!!!!"
The girls (and a settled-down Daddy!) played with the rabbits for a few minutes before we returned them safely to Macey's house where we can visit them and bring them treats every day and love them from afar, which Ellie is perfectly content. APRIL FOOLS!!
