Inspired by my love of art and hearing about Cousin Emily's fun art lessons, Ellie asked if we could start some art 'lessons' of our own. I was thrilled to oblige! So we've checked out a bunch of interesting art books from the library and will try to concentrate on a different artist each week or two.
This week, we read Come Look With Me, a very informative book filled with different styles of art & artists, and with useful discussion questions. Ellie's favorite piece in the book was by Picasso, from his blue period, called "Le Gourmet" (how perfect for my little Le Gourmet herself!).
I can't wait to see what pieces Ellie creates this summer!
