Earlier this week the girls got to go have Cookies & Milk with Santa!! It was such a fun event, filled with lots of sweet activities! Writing letters to Santa
Abby was most serious about her letter to Santa!

Hooray! Christmas stickers!

Decorating a nativity scene

Photo with Santa, from the 'sidelines' - Abby was not so sure about the jolly ole fellow...

Bagging up reindeer food to sprinkle in the yard Christmas eve. A yummy mix of cheerios, rice krispies, chex and of course sparkly glitter to help guide the way for Santa and his Reindeer!

Log Cabin Field Trip

Ellie's class had a pre-Thanksgiving field trip to the historic log cabin downtown. I wasn't able to attend but Ellie's classmate's mommy was sweet to send me some photos to share! They got to explore the cabin and listen to the "old fashioned lady" talk about "old fashioned times" (Ellie's words!). It was a fun adventure! In the photo -- (front row) Josie, Annie, Madeline, Kailey, Amelia, Olivia (back row) Kaylee Beth, William, Ellie, "Old Fashioned Lady", and Jackson.

My sweet Ellie, in front of the log cabin. The old cabin was actually located across the street from our home for many years, when Mr. & Mrs. Andrew Smith owned it. It was moved about 10 years ago to it's downtown location when it was donated to the City of Brookhaven.

Little Artist

Ellie attended her first workshop at Ava Jane's Art Barn yesterday. She has been waiting for years to be old enough to go to Ava Jane's. They learned to paint on a textured canvas, which gives it a really cool effect. Here is her gorgeous creation! I can't wait to frame it and hang it in a place of honor. I don't know if you can tell by the photo, but the church's windows are stained glass. So creative!!!

Loving the mild weather!

We are loving the beautiful weather. . . (and getting to stay in jammies until lunchtime during school holidays!)

Peek A Boo!

Abby's new favorite hang-out spot - inside the toy kitchen!

Gobble Gobble!

(sorry for the sideways photo!) Ellie and I made this pumpkin pie last week for a Thanksgiving get-together at my work. She had a good time tracing around her hand with a butter knife.

Precious moments with Ms. Dorothy

What a blessing Ms. Dorothy has been to our family! She and Abby were snuggled up when we got home from the feast today. She loves my girls so much.

Kindergarten Thanksgiving Pageant & Feast!

Today we attended Ellie's Thanksgiving Pageant & Feast. Ellie did a great job singing all the songs and reciting her lines. After the program, the kindergartners hosted a special Thanksgiving feast. A fun event!
I'm so thankful for such a wonderful school that gives Ellie a strong Christian foundation and education.
Our sweet Pilgrim!!

Pilgrims & Indians

Ellie had two speaking parts during the Thanksgiving Pageant. She spoke so well into the microphone, very loud and clear. Her first line was: Thanksgiving is a fun time at our house!

Ellie's second line: They wanted to thank God for His care, so after the harvest, the Pilgrims asked their new friends to join them in a feast.

Reciting Psalm 100

Ellie invited her daddy to be her special guest at the feast this year. They had fancy place settings, designed by Ellie, and dined on turkey, indian fry bread, corn on the cob, fruit salad, pumpkin pies and cranberry sauce, all prepared by the Pilgrims & Indians!
