Watching the train at Fox's Pizza (my grandfather's furniture store used to be in this building, which makes our Fox's meals very special!).  Notice Abby's fingers in her ears.  Even inside.

Redneck entertainment.  There's a broken off tree limb caught in the tree branches way up in those trees, dangling precariously over my parents driveway.  Tim and Uncle Randy spent about two hours throwing a football (with a rope taped to it using Ellie's hot pink duct tape, manly.) trying to dislodge the limb.  No luck. Even some folks out for an evening walk stopped and tried throwing the football.  Wasn't budging.
 Later that week, a windy thunderstorm blew down an entire tree in their backyard, yet the limb remains in the tree.  Tim has big plans for getting it down, something involving a softball and miles of thin rope purchased just for the occasion.   We'll need the video camera for that operation.

While I loaded the kiln the other night, Abby entertained herself at her art easel.  I turned around to see this!  A great drawing (for a 3 year old, if I do say so myself!) of Tangled.  By Artist Abby!

Learning sign language at the library summer program.  Ellie and Abby sat for an entire hour, fascinated by the sign language teacher!  They remembered a lot of their new signs when we got home and performed "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" for Tim that evening!
