Pumpkins & a day at the farm!

Saturday, we visited Nichols-Boyd Pumpkin Patch in Brandon. It is really fun and the weather was beautiful -- perfect for a hay ride!

Alphabet letters were posted all around the farm.  Ellie had a good time spotting them -- especially the E for Ellie!
We started the day on the farm by checking out the animal pens.  We saw a very loud turkey, a couple of fat pigs, several rabbits (one named Oreo!), pheasant, quail & more!

Waiting patiently for the hay ride to begin!  The hay-ride to the pumpkin patch took us past the Christmas tree farm, by the sunflower fields and stopped occasionally to visit some very unique animals!

The Zedonk named April.  Half zebra, half donkey.  She lives in a pen with an exotic deer named Tinkerbell.

The crazy goats!!  They walked up a platform about 15 feet in the air and posed for photos!

Feeding the catfish. . . we were all instructed to call them to the water's surface by saying "Here Kitty Kitty!"   Pretty soon those big old fish started flopping around on the surface, gobbling up their food!
