Got Groceries?

Ellie just came in and said she was out of her favorite treat so she added it to the grocery list on our chalkboard in the kitchen. She said she looked at the package for the spelling. I'll definitely have to pick some up next time I'm at the store!

Sophie Love

Abby's best buddy these days is Sophie the Giraffe. Sophie is easy to hold and Abby loves gnawing on those long giraffe legs. The first photo is Abby right now, snoozing in her crib, hugging Sophie (upside down!).

A big award

Ellie got a very special award at school yesterday! She was so excited! She received a "Quiet as a Mouse" badge and a ruby ring. She told me she couldn't stop smiling to herself and in her heart. Sweet girl!

Toys are fun

While tidying up in the kitchen tonight, I heard an unusual noise. I turned around and realized Abby had discovered one of the toys on her exersaucer! Here's a quick video clip:

Little Red Corvette

Abby's new stroller arrived this evening. We literally walked the wheels off Ellie's stroller so Abby has a brand new one of her very own! It's super cool and it has big wheels, perfect for the bumpy Brookhaven sidewalks. Ellie and I assembled it right away so we can stroll tomorrow morning. Abby took it on a 'test drive' tonight through the house. She loved cruising around in her new ride!

Book Fair at FPK!

This week is the book fair at Ellie's school. We loook forward to it every year. As part of the book week decor, Ellie's class did drawings of their most favorite books. Ellie drew "The Jungle Book."

Monday was "Donuts With Dads" -- Ellie & Daddy selected several fun books and ate donuts at the FPK Cafe.

Tuesday, "Granola with Grands" Papa Lucky & Granna attended -- and later that morning, as a special treat, Granna read a Fancy Nancy book to Ellie's class. Ellie declared the event "fantastic and fabulous!"

Ellie passed out "Fancy" cookies to her class after the "Fancy Nancy" reading by Granna. Ooooh la la!

Tuesday evening was "Family Night" with a special appearance by Clifford! He had a huge hug waiting for Ellie when we got there! Love the Glam Glasses!

Today was "Muffins With Moms" -- my personal fave! We dined on blueberry muffins and selected several books, including a special one for Abby. Later, during class, Fancy Nancy herself made an appearance! Tres Fabulous!

Abby rolled over for the first time Thursday night!

Hooray Abby!!!

She practiced rolling some more in the backyard today, flipping over about 4 or 5 times. No more hanging out on our bed unattended!

Tea for Two!

Ellie and Abby received a very special tea party furniture set yesterday from Granna & Papa Lucky. Ellie immediately had to try it out for size, with a few favorite friends joining her (and no less than 3 tea sets!). A perfect fit! I'm already envisioning lots and lots of dainty sister tea parties in the near future! How lovely!

Playdate with Olivia

Ellie's classmate (and neighbor) Olivia came over for a little while the other day. Ellie and Olivia baked cookies, played the Fancy Nancy game, nurtured baby dolls, chased the cats and held Abby. It was a fun afternoon!

Almost there!

Abby is trying super hard to roll over! She practices every evening during floor and tummy time. She looks like a little seal rolling back and forth. If she can just get that sweet arm out of the way, she'll be flipping over in no time!

Valentine's Day Party at pre-school

Ellie's class party was yesterday in Mrs. Paula's 4's class. She had a great time! They had heart shaped sandwiches (made by Ellie!), sliced fruit, festive cupcakes & other treats. After their tasty snack, they got to hit a heart shaped pinata. Ellie wasn't quite sure about hitting it, but she had fun gathering the candy when it burst!

Ellie's Prize-Winning Camellias

Ellie entered several camellias in the Brookhaven Camellia Society's annual show. She won one 1st place, one 2nd place and two 3rds! She was so excited! Sunday, the blooms were on display and Ellie was able to photograph her prize-winners.
