New favorite big sister entertainment:  Stick the bandaids on little sister!  The other night, Abby wandered in the living room with 6 Elmo bandaids stuck in various spots -- including her back! 

"NEW BURGER" -- Ellie's first Arby's roast beef sandwich!

It takes longer to don all the accessories necessary for a quick stroll around the block than the actual stroll itself!

While Tim was grilling the other night, Abby very purposefully lined up the little benches, climbed up on it and proudly said "CHOO CHOO!!  All Aboard!"  It's in her blood.  She's Papa's Choo Choo buddy!

Mmm!!  Snoball tongue!   (Check out the scratch on her head -- the last remaining evidence of her first trip to the E.R. and CT scan!  Bad old couch fall!)

All About Me

Ellie's very first homework assignment was an All About Me poster.  She had to decorate the poster and complete each section with very important pieces of information about herself.  Age: 6, Favorite color: dark pink, Favorite animal: dolphin, Favorite food: berries, Favorite place: the beach, When I grow up I want to be: a vet, Favorite thing to do: hula hoop, I wish for: a puppy.   The posters are now on display outside her classroom!  Ellie and I had fun checking out her classmates' posters this morning.

Yesterday was Meet-The-Teacher Day at Ellie's new school.  We got to check out her new FIRST GRADE classroom, talk to her sweet new teacher, Mrs. Cox, and explore the school hall.

Evening at the lake. . .

Yesterday we were invited to spend a late afternoon at Lake Dixie Springs with sweet friends.  It was Ellie & Abby's first time to swim in something other than a pool or at the beach.  They loved it!   We sure enjoyed the relaxing evening watching the children splash in the lake and play on the big giant sandpile.

Abby spent most of the evening just like this, splashing in the water and waiting for the waves from the boats passing by. . .  She is a little fish!

Except for when this huge snake slithered-swam close to the children.  YIKES.  It was a good while before we'd let them back in the water.
