Pumpkin Patch!

Today, we went to Nichols-Boyd Pumpkin Patch out in Rankin County.  Visiting the pumpkin patch is one of our favorite fall activities, so get ready for A LOT of photos!!   It was a perfect warm day for our visit.
Our first stop was the tractor ride around the entire farm.  Here are Tim and the girls waiting for our number to be called so we can board the trailers.

Along the ride, we saw April the Zedonkey (Zebra-Donkey mix), some big cows, catfish, ducks, donkeys and miniature wild deer.  At each stop, the tractor driver fed the animals a treat so we could get a really good look at them.
The funniest thing at the farm is the goat-walk.  Those silly goats are about 15 feet up in the air, balancing along a skinny ramp.

There are two huge fields of stunning sunflowers!!  I wanted to take them all home.  They were so beautiful!

Our tractor ride stopped at a pumpkin patch so we could all select the perfect one to bring home.  Ellie & Abby were very selective and found great pumpkins!

After our tractor ride, we visited the little animal farm.  There were turkeys, chickens, bunnies, quail, pigs, puppies, pheasants,  and more!  Butterscotch the bunny was sooo sweet!  And that sign made us all laugh!

This is our first year to try the corn maze and we got really lost!  We wandered around in it for about 25 minutes before we found our way to an exit.  Ellie and Abby took turns deciding which path to take.  There were a lot of dead ends and curvy trails.  At certain places in the maze were checkpoints with questions about vegetables and farming.  We found just two this time.  Better luck next year!
