Ellie's teacher is expecting her first baby (a girl!) in December. Ellie & her classmates are sooo excited for Mrs. Porter.
And to add to the excitement, Mrs. Porter & her sweet husband have just moved next door to us! How fun is that?! They've been working hard on their adorable house and Ellie thinks it's super fun to live next door to her teacher.
We decided to have a little shower for Mrs. Porter at our house, inviting her fellow Second Grade teachers and Ellie's classmates. It was a book shower -- each guest was asked to bring a book for the baby's little nursery library. When the guests arrived, they signed bookplates to stick in the books they brought. It was fun seeing the variety of books Mrs. Porter received, along with other sweet baby gifts! |
